We have been busy over the fall and winter sharing our experiences with Economic Gardening. We started at the Dawson Creek Embracing Change conference and the Vancouver Island Economic Summit in Nanaimo and continue to share our knowledge with communities throughout the province.Over and over we hear "is it about supporting local farmers”?
No it’s not about farming. It’s about getting small businesses to think like big business. Using the latest in market intelligence technology, we provide a variety of services to the entrepreneur to help them grow their business.
What do we do? We use GIS- Business Analyst software to map current customers, potential customers, competitors and complementary businesses. Entrepreneurs can visually see the geographic areas where they are doing their best business and the areas where they might consider doing more business.
We also analyze their website and online position. Are they competitive? Who holds the number 1 spot on Google, Bing, or Yahoo? Or who is actively using social media to their benefit? We provide competitor information, we provide business lists, we provide government funding information, whatever information the entrepreneur needs to expand their business, we try to find it.
